*Catatan:

Idiom (be) up to (someone) sering dipakai dalam percakapan sehari hari. Kata (be) ialah tobe auxiliary yang sanggup diganti am, is, are, was, were, atau been. Sedangkan untuk (someone)bisa diganti dengan nama orang atau kata ganti objek menyerupai him, her, them, you, us, atau me.

misal:

- It's up to you. You decide it.

- It was up to Jgua. We would agreed.

Idiom foot the bill, kata foot diperlakukan sebagai kata kerja umum (regular verb), oleh lantaran itu bentuk lampaunya (past) yaitu footed.

misal:

- The army footed the bill for Joe's pelatihan as a radio operator.

Dialog 2 : Family Feud

Alice : Are you going to visit your in-laws on your vacation?

Susan : I'm afraid not. My husband just doesn't get along with his older brother.

Alice : Oh, really? Why not?

Susan : Poor Steve does his best to be pleasant, but they disagree about everything; politics, religion, sports, even the weather!

- He ofter argues with his brother, but he always makes up with him.

*Catatan

Idiom get along with biasanya juga terdapat di final kalimat. Jika idiom tersebut berada di final kalimat, maka idiom tersebut spesialuntuk menjadi get along.

misal:

- Carl and his sister don't get along.

Lose one's temper, kata one dalam idiom tersebut diganti dengan kata ganti kepunyaan (his, her, my, our, their atau your) dari pelaku yang ditunjukan di awal kalimat.

misal:

- We don't ofter lose our tempers.

- He always lose his temper.
