Legenda Bahasa Inggris - Belajar bahasa Inggris pada peluang kali ini akan menampilkan beberapa kisah legenda bahasa Inggris yang berasal dari Indonesia tentunya. Negara kita kaya, kaya akan sumber daya alam, kaya akan sumber daya insan dan adat, tradisi serta kebudayaan yang diciptakan, termasuk juga legenda-legenda yang ada. Hampir tiruana tempat di Indonesia mempunyi kisah yang melegenda sendiri. Dan kadang dari legenda tersebut suatu tempat berasal. Tapi apakah bahwasanya yang dinamakan legenda.
Dimulai dengan pengertian legenda secara bahasa, legenda berasal dari bahasa latin yang berarti sesuatu yang di baca. Sedangkan berdasarkan istilah legenda yaitu kisah yang berkembang dimasyarkat yang dianggap oleh masyarakat tersebut yang di artikan dalam Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI) sebagai kisah rakyat pada zaman lampau yang ada hubungannya dengan sejarah.
Sedangkan pengertian dari engkaus besar Oxford mengambarkan arti dari legenda sebagai "a traditional story sometimes popularly regarded as historical but not authenticated" yang berarti legenda yaitu sebuah kisah tradisional yang kadang terkenal dianggap sebagai sejarah yang kadang sukar dibuktikan.
Banyak sejarawan menguak sebuah sejarah sesuatu berdasarkan legenda yang ada. Karena intinya legenda yaitu sejarah itu sendiri yang tidak mengalami pencatatan, sehingga dengan cara penyebarannya lewat lisan ke lisan memungkinkan terjadinya pergeseran-pergeseran dan penambahan-penambahan pada sejarah orisinil sebelum menjadi sebuah legenda.
Nah pada peluang kali ini, penulis berniat untuk mempersembahkan beberapa legenda yang berkembang di masyarkat Indonesia dan dari banyak sekali tempat di Indonesia dalam bahasa Inggris tentunya disertai dengan terjemahannya. Semoga bermanfaa. Check this out!!!
