Contoh Kalimat Positive Degree Dan Rumusnya – Degree Of Comparison

Positive degree ialah suatu  bentuk kalimat perbandingan yang dipakai untuk membandingkan dua hal yang sifatnya setara. Apabila dua hal yang diperbandingkan itu tidak setara, maka dalam positive degree ditetapkan dalam kalimat negatif.

Pada umumnya, positive degree dipakai untuk  menyatakan bahwa dua orang atau benda mempunyai sifat yang sama antara yang satu dengan yang lainnya. pada umumnya, positive degree memakai rumus:

As + positive degree + as atau no less + positive degree + than

misal:
Mitha is as beautiful as her sister
( Mitha secantik adiknya )
Atau
Mitha is no less beautiful than her sister
( Mitha secantik adiknya )


Jika yang diperbandingkan ialah hal yang tidak setara, maka rumus kalimat positive degree yang dipakai ialah :

Positive degree diformulasikan dalam 4 kategori yaitu pola conjunction, pola preposition, pola adjective dan pola variasi.

Berikut ini ialah klarifikasi dari keempat pola positive degree tersebut:

1.    Positive degree pola conjunction

Bentuk dari positive degree pola conjunction ialah :

S + V + As + adjective + As + S+ V   ( +/- )
S + V + so + adjective + as + S + V ( - )
S + V + the same + noun + as + S + V ( +/- )
S + V + the same as + S + V ( +/- )

Ihsan is not as handsome as me      ( INFORMAL)

•    S + V + the same + noun + as + S + V

Pola kalimat positive degree ini dipakai pada kalimat negatif maupun kalimat positive. Noun yang dipakai haruslah noun yang berasal dari adjective.

White, red, blue.....( adj )------------------------>colour ( Noun )
Cheap, expensive...( adj )------------------------> price ( Noun )
Big , small,................(adj)-------------------------> size ( Noun )

misal:
My car is white. Hera’s car is white too. Hera cars is the same colour as mine
Cristiano Ronaldo is the same price as Gareth Bale

•    S + V + the same as + S + V ( +/- )

Untuk memperjelas makna dari “ the same as”, maka akan dilampaui oleh prolog.
misal:
Kim Tae Hee is cute. Pimchanok Leuwiset Paiboon is the same as Kim Tae Hee.

2.    Positive degree pola preposition

Berikut ini ialah rumus dari positive degree pola preposition:

S + V + unlike + O                   ( tidak seperti/tidak serupa ) ( - )
S + LV + similar to + O             ( serupa/seperti ) ( + )
S + LV + different from + O       ( tidak serupa/tidak menyerupai ) ( - )

Umar merasa lapar. Muhib merasa menyerupai Umar

Ket: kata kerja “fell” tergolong ke dalam Linking Verbs ( LV ) sehingga kalimat “ Muhib fells like Umar” menjadi salah.

Hera rajin. Yeyet juga rajin. Mereka serupa.
